What you see

What AI says after it names you

Visibility counts how often AI mentions your brand. Brand Perception reads those answers and reports what they say: the attributes, the tone and the sources behind them.

  • Themes

The strengths and weaknesses that keep coming back in answers about you.

  • Sentiment

How positive, neutral or negative each answer is, per model.

  • Branded prompts

Questions that name your brand, set up for you and editable.

  • Sources

The domains and pages AI cites when it describes you.

Themes

The strengths and weaknesses AI repeats about you

Rankshift reads every answer about your brand and groups the attributes that keep coming back, such as "easy to use" or "expensive higher tiers". You do not enter them. They come from the answers themselves.

  • Strengths and weaknesses listed separately
  • The share of answers that mention each theme
  • Surfaced from AI answers, with nothing to configure
Branded prompts

The questions buyers ask about you by name

Each project starts with five branded prompts, such as "What do people say about [brand]?" and "What are the pros and cons of [brand]?". Add your own for pricing, support or any other question your buyers ask.

  • Five prompts generated when you add your brand
  • Add, edit or remove prompts at any time
  • Kept separate from your visibility prompts
Sentiment

How positive each AI model is about you

ChatGPT and Perplexity rarely describe a brand in the same words. Rankshift scores the tone of every answer and shows the split per model, per persona and per day.

  • Positive, neutral and negative share per model
  • Filter by persona or scenario
Sources

The pages behind the description

AI builds its description of you from pages it can cite: review sites, forum threads, comparison articles and your own website. Rankshift ranks the domains and URLs cited in answers about your brand, so you know which page to update and which review profile to work on.

  • Domains and URLs cited on your branded prompts
  • Counted separately from your visibility prompts

FAQ

Questions about Brand Perception

What is brand perception in AI search?

Brand perception is how AI models such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe your brand when someone asks about it: the attributes they attach to you, the tone they use and the sources they cite. Rankshift reports all three.

How is brand perception different from AI visibility?

Visibility measures how often your brand appears in answers to category questions, such as "best CRM for small teams". Brand perception looks at questions that name you, such as "What do people say about HubSpot?", and reports what the answers say.

What are branded prompts?

Branded prompts are questions that mention your brand by name. Rankshift generates five for every project, covering what you are known for, pros and cons, customer satisfaction and value. You can add your own.

Where do the themes come from?

From the answers. Rankshift reads the responses to your prompts and groups the attributes that recur, such as "affordable" or "lacks enterprise features". You do not need to define them in advance.

Which AI models does it cover?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Meta AI and Mistral. You choose which models run your prompts and how often.

Can I change how AI describes my brand?

Not directly. AI models describe you based on the pages they find and cite. The sources view shows which pages those are, so you can update your own content, respond on review sites and correct outdated information where it is published.
